Winning elections - monetary reality

It is not hard to believe that you need more money in order to win an election. Many of my third-party comrades would like to feel they have a chance to win on a shoe-string. But the reality speaks for itself. We do need strong and sustained challengers to our 2-party system. But unless we get well-known candidates or have enough money - it will be very difficult to get the message out and actually elect a candidate. I am not saying it is impossible - but very difficult indeed.
